Rules and Information
Venue and Date:
Open Lithuanian Rapid Chess Championship will be held in
the Conference Hall of Guesthouse "Domus Maria", Aušros vartų 12, Vilnius, www.domusmaria.lt
Participants, Hotels:
Applications should be send before 22.11.2010 by e-mail to jonas.sidabras@gmail.com , copy to r.paliulionis@gmail.com
Verification of participants in person: 26.11.2010 16.00-20.00
or 27.11.10 08.00-09.00.
Tournament start : 27.11.2010 at 10.00
Entry fee: 20 litas (IM, WIM, GM, WIM -free entry).
Entry to be paid: before 22.11.2010 to Lithuanian Chess Federation
(account Nr. LT757044060000168886, SEB bank Vilnius,
bank code-70440) or by cash on the spot before the end of the registration.
Places are limited.
Hotels: Organiser offers :
1) Guest House "Domus Maria" (***), double room -227 litas,
single room- 169 litas (per room, per night, breakfast included)
2) Panorama Hotel (***), double- 140 litas,
single - 120 litas (per room, per night, breakfast included)
Limited number of GMs will be offered a free hotel accomodation
on the agreement with the organiser.
Advance participation registration and hotel reservation is required.
Hotel payment upon arrival. Application form is attached.
System of play and winners determination:
Swiss system , 9 rounds, FIDE Rapid Chess rules. All in one tournament
with a separate classification for women, seniors (1950 year of birth and older), youngsters (U10, U12, U14, U16, U18).
The rate of play is G-15'+10'' (15 minutes for a game for a player, with an increment of 10 seconds per move).
The winners are defined by the number of scored points.
In case of tie, standings are determined by:
1) Buchholz without the weakest opponent, 2) Buchholz (full),
3) progressive score, 4) number of victories.
Prizes and awards :
Lithuanian players: the winners (1-3 places in common classification, women, seniors) are awarded by appropriate medals and diplomas.
youngsters (U10, U12, U14, U16, U18) are awarded with an invitation to
take part in the European Rapid Chess Championship in Warsaw with a free accomodation (16-19.12.2010) in Etap Hotel, Warsaw.

2 place- qualifies to the Final Tournament "V.Mikenas-100",
3 place- qualifies to the Final Tournament "V.Mikenas-100",
4 place- 800 Lt,
5 place- 600 Lt,
6 place- 400 Lt,
7 place- 200 Lt,
8 place- 150 Lt,
9 place- 100 Lt,
10place- 50 Lt.
Women and seniors:
1 place- 500 Lt,
2 place- 400 Lt,
3 place- 300 Lt,
4 place- 100 Lt,
5 place- 50 Lt.
Prizes are not shared. A player can receive only one prize, if he/she wins two prizes, he/she receives the highest one.
